STORY

It all began when Karen Behnke, an entrepreneur at one of America's first wellness companies, developed a keen interest in personal care products with her first pregnancy at age 40. Experiencing hormonal changes and the onset of wrinkles, Karen set out to find healthy skincare solutions that would deliver visible results. She was surprised to learn that, although skin can absorb what is put on it, there were very few healthy personal care products available that worked well. She wanted to create a significant change in the beauty industry. Years after the birth of her second child, Karen bought the name "Juice Beauty" and launched the company from scratch in 2005. And she achieved the impossible: creating luxury organic formulas that work better than conventional beauty products.

CONCEPT

Karen led an initial 5-year journey to solve complex organic formulation challenges by working with chemistry PhDs, medical doctors and microbiologists to perfect Juice Beauty's ingredients. The brand's revolutionary formulations began with a basic premise: Karen believed that formulating with an antioxidant and vitamin-rich organic botanical juice base, rather than PEGS/petroleum derivatives or water, and combining it with powerful skincare ingredients, would yield better results than conventional cosmetic products. Multiple clinical trials proved him right. The company began to grow as GREEN APPLE® Peel, now patented, rose to fame through celebrity mentions and awards.

Today Juice Beauty continues to challenge the status quo by radically transforming the chemistry of beauty with a holistic and wellness approach.
